Bernard Anício Caldeira Duarte, better known as Bernard, is a Brazilian professional footballer who currently plays for Everton in the Premier League as a winger. A left-sided player, Bernard is known for his pace and energy.

Born in Belo Horizonte, he began his professional career with hometown team Atlético Mineiro, where he won the 2013 Copa Libertadores. He then moved for a reported €25 million fee to Shakhtar Donetsk, where he won three Ukrainian Premier League titles. In 2018, he joined Everton on a free transfer.

He made his senior international debut in 2012 and was in the Brazilian squads which won the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and reached the 2014 FIFA World Cup semi-finals on home soil.
This pair of Nike Hypervenom I's were worn by Brazilian winger Bernard during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He featured in 3 of their matches in the tournament; the opener against Croatia, the second group game against Mexico and the famous semi-final defeat against Germany in his hometown of Belo Horizonte, in which he replaced the injured Neymar.

These were made in the famous Montebelluna factory in Italy to Bernard's exact specifications. Due to their custom nature, there are no size labels present - however, length wise, they are measured to be a UK6.5 / US7.5, and much narrower compared to a retail model. The heel areas also have thick additional padding. The heel of the right boot is also taller than the left.
He can be seen above wearing this exact pair during the World Cup semi-final against Germany.
Pitch markings are still present on both the upper and soleplate of this pair from the last time Bernard used them.
They feature a modified soleplate, lifted from the Tiempo Legend V - the SG-Pro variation. The FG studs on this soleplate are considerably longer and thicker than that of the Hypervenom version, and are conically shaped.

Specially personalised with "Bernard" on the instep of each boot. Along with "Nascido Para" on the outstep of the left which translates in English to "born to", and "Jogar Futebol" on the right boot outstep which translates to "play football". The Brazilian flag was also applied to the outside of each boot.

This particular soleplate on the Tiempo Legend V featured a raised heel area. The craftsman in the Montebelluna factory have shaved this part off of the backs.
It is extremely rare to get hold of match worn boots from World Cup's, especially modified pairs like these. If you have a comment about this pair, feel free to write below!
