Jesus began his career at Palmeiras. He was voted the best newcomer of the 2015 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, a year in which he also helped his team win the Copa do Brasil. The following year he was named the player of the season as Palmeiras won their first national league title in 22 years. He joined Manchester City in January 2017 for a transfer fee of €32 million, and won the Premier League and EFL Cup in 2018 and 2019, as well as the FA Cup in 2019.

After winning 21 caps and scoring seven goals at youth level, including reaching the final of the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup and winning an Olympic gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics, Jesus made his senior debut for Brazil in September 2016, and was part of the squad that took part at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, later also winning the 2019 Copa América.

This pair of Adidas X18+ boots were match worn by Gabriel Jesus during the 2018-19 season with Manchester City, which turned out to be a historic domestic treble winning season. Worn during the Champions League, Premier League, and Carabao Cup.
Bespoke made in Germany by Adidas' Athlete Services. This pair feature unique sizing - left size UK8.75, right size UK8.5.
In each heel there is a large amount of padding, with a black suede lining. Likely for additional comfort and to avoid blisters.

Adidas have also made orthopaedic insoles for Gabriel Jesus, which are made from a cushioned material lined with black suede. The underneath of each insole seem to be thinner on the outer part than the inner.

A thin piece of sponge-like cushioning is also applied to the inside of each boot, underneath where the insole goes. The forefoot is also considerably wider than retail versions of this model.
Gabriel can be seen in the photo below wearing them against Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League during the 2018-19 campaign.

These differences show just how much attention to detail goes into the bespoke manufacture of elite professional's boots. If you have a comment about this pair, feel free to write below!
